Numbering Plugin for Daylite

The new version of the Numbering Plug-in adds many features that have been requested from our users of the very popular Numbering Plug-in This upgrade is also fully compatible with Sierra, Mac's new operating system.
New Features:
-
Category based numbering - each category can have it's own number sequence
-
Annual number resetting - a great way to compare at a glance the number of projects you open each year
-
New Project from Opportunity that manages the numbering… Removes the Opportunity number and adds the next Project number.
-
Document numbering - now add numbers to Estimates (invoices, sales orders, supplier orders are available with Daylite Sales Assistant another plugin we offer)
-
Elegant re-application of numbers to already numbered opportunities or projects.
The Addition of Document Numbering
Daylite's estimates are an under utilised feature of the application. If users generate estimates in Daylite it can save a lot of time as well as improving the opportunity data which in turn helps provide meaningful information in the Data Insights view.

The default RED and BLUE templates have been included as simple templates which are easily customised to match each users branding requirements. However, many users lack the time and or expertise to edit these templates. So we have added a number of Billings Pro inspired template designs that you can freely use. We'll be adding more on a regular basis. Take a look at them
Automatically Number your Next Quote
Now automatically sequentially number estimates and quotes with the addition of some simple tokens. We have updated the Numbering Setup page too with a short how to video.

A very flexible approach to naming & numbering
The numbering plugin we have designed provides users with a large number of numbering options to deal with the most demanding of requirements.
1. Adding the number to the title.
As well as adding a tracking number of your format to an extra field now you can append the number to the name of the project or opportunity. This is important for ease of use in lists and also within Mac Mail when using the Daylite Mail Assistant
2. Flexible formatting
We have strived to provide a wide range of numbering formats and options... with prefixes and suffixes supported as well as spacers and data tokens available. Making it easy to append a date and a number at the same time. For example easily apply sequential numbers like:
Job - 2786 - 160721 or Project 2789 (Monday 27 May 2016)
Here is a full list of the date tokens supported in Numbering:
3. Objective Numbering
Advanced Daylite users that open opportunities and turn them into Projects when won can use a unified numbering system that will apply the next number in the sequence to either an Opportunity or a Project.
4. Category Numbering (overrides)
With the release of this new version users can now run multiple numbering sequences and formats based on the category selected. Great for workflows requiring warranty numbers and tracking based on category of opportunity / project.
5. Force Unique Numbering
Because Daylite clients are offline from the master server and there is no way to ensure that all users have synchronised back to the server prior to applying a new number there is always the possibility of duplicating numbers. In many cases this is not crucial and can be easily fixed.
However for times when it is critical not to duplicate numbers the Numbering Plug-in includes a feature called "Force Uniques" which, when ticked, will append the offset ID number to the Project number. For example the number Job 1234 will become Job 1234-23 where -23 represents the database ID -23. All numbers created on this Mac will have the ID -23 added to them.
