Data protection is vital to ensure that your business is not exposed to any risks of critical data loss. Daylite’s default backup

Did you know that you cannot rely on Time Machine to backup your Daylite data?

Backup settings are adjusted in the Daylite Admin Server application thus centralising the control of backups for each database.

We recommend that you leave the backup destination as the default as some systems experience permission problems if this is moved to another location.

Daylite will perform a full backup of the database on each cycle. This makes restoration very quick and easy for end-users but means that you must have enough free space on the server to handle the backup archives.

If your database is 3GB then in a month you will consume 60GB of HDD space! This is a common cause of system failure.

System Implementation

This system can be implemented at any time but is recommended for all new installations of Daylite. The implementation time depends on the size of your Daylite database, the number of locations and users and the number of files that need to be replicated.
